This railway line, once called the Karawanken Wocheiner Train, was built between 1900 to 1905, during Austro-Hungarian rule and for that time it was a unique technical achievement with forty two tunnels, sixty two bridges and three galleries. <p>On this journey we have travelled on the youngest of the ‘steam ladies’ of the Ljubljana Railway Museum. The 33-037 weighs a hundred and thirty six tons, is twenty three metres long and its tender can take nine tons of coal. <p>The Bohinj Museum Train is a fabulous experience.
