Bati, our destination is not easy to reach. It is more than a one and a half day trip from Addis Ababa / Ethopia and the climate is usually dry, but today it is raining. The closer we get to Bati, the more traffic is increasing, mainly cattle on their way to the market. Arriving at the parking lot we have to step into the mud whether we want to or not...

In the late afternoon the last deals are settled and the income is counted and the streets of Bati are slowly emptying. Many still have an hour-long march in the rain ahead of them.
